A pochi giorni dal rilascio ufficiale di System Center 2016 ecco arrivare la prima Update Rollup che va a stabilizzare il prodotto e che, in alcuni casi, introduce alcune feature, come Data Protection Manager che introduce ufficalmente il supporto al Modern Storage, che porta i seguenti benefici:
- 30-40 percent savings in storage
- Backups that are 70 percent faster with Modern DPM Storage
- Ability to configure workloads for storage on certain volumes
- Backup storage inline with the production data source
Da sottolineare anche il supporto al Resilient Change Tracking per VMware, già presente per Windows Server 2016, che porterà i seguenti benefici:
- Meet backup SLAs during cluster operating system rolling upgrade
- Seamlessly protect and recover Shielded VMs
- Protect VMs stored on Storage Spaces Direct
- Protect VMs stored on ReFS-based SOFS clusters
Per quanto riguarda Virtual Machine Manager, da notare la nuova feature di auto configurazione del Storage Spaces Direct.
