Nella giornata di oggi è stato rilasciato al pubblico l’Update 2 per Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5. Tra le novità più importanti troviamo:
- Cisco HyperFlex Systems (formerly HX-Series/SpringPath) support for Backup from Storage Snapshots functionality.
- HPE 3PAR StoreServ 3.3.1 support and improved scalability by migrating some API calls from SSH to RESTful API.
- Microsoft Hyper-V BigEndian platform support.
- Microsoft Exchange 2016 CU5 support for mailbox item recovery with Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Exchange.
- NetApp ONTAP 9.1 support.
- Oracle 12.2 support for all Oracle database backup and restore functionality.
- Veeam Agent for Linux 1.0 Update 1 (build 1.0.1.364) support, including new 1-Click FLR via Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager support.
- Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows 2.0 GA (build 2.0.0.700) support, including application-item recovery support from agent backups.
- VMware vCloud Director 8.20 support.
- VMware vSAN 6.6 support
Diversi sono i miglioramenti introdotti, atti a rendere il prodotto più stabile ed efficiente. Altra novità introdotta all’interno dell’Update 2 è il supporto a Veeam Backup Remote Access, una soluzione che consente ai partner di potersi collegare agli ambienti Veeam remoti dei propri clienti, sfruttando la connettività offerta da Veeam Cloud Connect. Oltre alla possibilità di gestire la console remota, è possibile anche collegarsi in RDP verso la macchina che ha a bordo i ruoli primari di Backup & Replication.
