Grandi novità arrivano dal team di prodotto di Azure File Sync, in quanto nella giornata di ieri è stato rilasciato una nuova major build; a due mesi dalla versione 5, ecco sbarcare la v6 che introduce diverse novità, anche per venire incontro alle diverse richieste provenienti dagli utenti.
Di seguito le novità ed i miglioramenti effettuati dalla nuova release:
- Agent auto-update support
- Support for Azure file share ACLs
- Parallel upload and download sync sessions for a server endpoint
- New Cloud Tiering cmdlets to get volume and tiering status
- Get-StorageSyncFileTieringResult will list all files and their paths that haven’t tiered and reports on the reason why.
- Get-StorageSyncFileRecallResult reports all file recall events. It lists every file recalled and its path as well as success or error for that recall.
- Support for FIPS mode
- Miscellaneous reliability improvements for cloud tiering and sync
Alcune note tecniche da tenere in considerazione in fase di aggiornamento:
- L’update è disponibile per Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016 e Windows Server 2019 che hanno a bordo l’agent Azure File Sync versione 4.0.1.0 o superiore.
- La versione dell’agent installata è la 6.0.0.0.
- Durante l’operazione di update, potrebbe essere richiesto il riavvio della macchina.
